One Tree Hill was created in the early 2000s and became one of the most watched TV series in American homes. The series is a coming of age story; riddled with life hurdles, love stories, showcasing life-long bonds of friendship and bringing a new meaning to family. Let's not forget about the drama! There's car accidents, infidelity, drug addictions, death, love, marriage, children, psycho stalkers and so much more over the 9 seasons.
The show dives deep into the journey of the trials of love and life of a friend group who came together under unusual circumstance. It starts in their high school years which allows for the show to have amazing character development as it ends when the they're in their mid 20s. Each character has their own unique quirks which allows the audience to connect with at least one of them easily. Whether it's Lucas who is introspective and creative, Peyton who is artistic and strong willed or Brooke who is independent and ambitious, there is a character that everyone can relate to.
The series tackles real world issues, such as; bullying, domestic violence, drug/alcohol abuse, and the consequences from one's actions. This is another aspect that makes the show so relatable. Everyone will be able to understand on a deep level at least one conflict that appears in the show.
One Tree Hill will surely make you feel every emotion possible, from being fiercely angry to being a little ball blubbering in bed. It will engrave life lessons in you without you realizing it, such as the meaning of love and family. I cannot recommend this show enough, it's one that I rewatch at least once per year.
This seems like an interesting show, maybe I'll have to give it a try. I like how you relate the things in the show to what people could also relate to from watching it.

ReplyDeleteI loved this show! I think I even went as far as to binge watch it twice in different parts of my life. It has the same warm feels as Gilmore Girls, but with a bit more drama.
