Mr. Mayhem (Entry #5)

Image
Allstate is a reputable insurance company with established credit in the industry. The company uses a variety of advertisement tactics to appeal to their audience, one of which is humor. The Mayhem commercials are widely known, they depict the mayhem character usually causing chaos within a home or vehicle which in turn proves the point of having good insurance.  Are you a thrill seeker? Do you have an interest in doing death-defying activities? Do you want to feel like your life has changed in just a matter of 7ish minutes? Then skydiving might be your next adventure! Leading up to the day of your skydive you'll be riddled with excitement and nervousness (maybe a little bit of fear, but don't focus on that). The morning of it is recommended to eat a very light breakfast and stick to drinking mainly water...after all you're going to be falling 13,000ft out of the air today. Once you arrive at the facility, you'll be met with welcoming faces full of energy. The staff, especially the instructors, really make you feel safe and comfortable in their hands; like family. You'll watch a safety video, sign your life away on a waiver (I'm kidding...kind of) and then they'll get you harnessed up.  You'll soon be met by a plane that looks like it's held together by duct tape and hope. You'll be wanting to jump out o...

Winter Wonderland (Entry #3)

Image
Have you ever been transported to a winter wonderland? If not, pop one of these little round treats in your mouth and join me!  The wrapper crunches as you open the small treat. It has a small sticky feel to it. The initial bite will create a numbing feeling, quickly followed by a mellowness that leaves you feeling calm and relaxed. The icy, refreshing sensation in your mouth will feel like a crisp winter morning breeze. It's like walking through the trees in the middle of December, the slight sweet evergreen taste feeling like a cozy sweater. It melts on your tongue so effortlessly as you move it back and forth in you mouth. Your breath will smell delicious with a clean feel and the remnants of the cooling effect left behind.  This experience is just a few moments, but it will leave you wanting more. The stress of the day is wiped away for a short time as you're whisked away to a wintery morning in middle of the holiday season.
